Care instructions

General cleaning

Wipe surface marks gently with a clean, soft, damp cloth.

A small amount of mild, neutral detergent may be used when needed. Wipe again with clean water to remove any detergent residue.

Allow every item to dry completely before using or storing it.

Do not

  • Do not soak the toys in water
  • Do not machine-wash unless updated manufacturer instructions confirm that it is safe
  • Do not tumble-dry
  • Do not dry-clean
  • Do not use bleach
  • Do not use harsh cleaning products
  • Do not twist or wring the fabric
  • Do not place the toys in direct sunlight for long periods

Storage

Store the toys in a clean, cool and dry place.

Keep them away from damp or humid areas to help prevent mildew. Make sure the toys are completely dry before placing them in a storage box or nappy bag.

Check seams, straps, ribbons, attachment rings and fabric pieces regularly.

How to play

Wrist rattles and foot-finder socks

Fasten one wrist rattle around each wrist. Make sure the straps are secure but not tight.

Pull the socks fully over your baby’s feet. Let your baby move naturally and notice how the toys respond with colour and sound.

You can gently move your baby’s hands or feet into view and say:

“Can you hear the rattle?”
“Look at your feet!”
“Kick, kick, kick!”

Remove the rattles and socks after play. Do not use them during sleep.

Soft plush rattle ball

Place the ball close enough for your baby to see during tummy time.

Slowly move it from side to side to encourage looking and head movement. As your baby begins reaching, place it just within reach.

Older babies can:

  • Hold and shake it
  • Touch the ribbon tabs
  • Move it between their hands
  • Roll it during floor play
  • Reach for it while sitting with support

Soft cloth book

Hold the book around 20–30 cm from a young baby’s face and slowly show one page at a time.

Talk about the pictures in simple words:

“Here is the dolphin.”
“Look at the black and white pattern.”
“Can you touch the soft part?”

During tummy time, place the open book in front of your baby. Older babies can hold the book, touch the fabric pieces and practise turning the soft pages.

Simple play routine

You do not need to use all three toys at once.

Try:

  1. Wrist and foot rattles for movement play
  2. The ball for reaching and grasping
  3. The cloth book for a calmer ending

Follow your baby’s interest and stop when they look away, become fussy or seem tired.

Safety & age guide

Manufacturer guidance

The included toys have a manufacturer age guide of:

0+ months

Best practical age range

This set is best suited to approximately 2–9 months, although parts of the set can still be enjoyed before and after this stage.

Birth to around 2 months

Use the toys mainly for calm, parent-led looking and listening.

At this age, babies may notice the bold patterns and gentle sounds, but they may not yet kick, reach or hold the toys on purpose.

Hold the toys where your baby can see them. Do not place loose toys in a sleep space.

Around 2–4 months

This is a strong stage for:

  • Watching hands and feet
  • Listening to movement sounds
  • Looking at bold patterns
  • Early reaching
  • Short tummy-time play

The wrist rattles and foot-finder socks may be especially useful during this stage.

Around 4–6 months

This is often the strongest stage for the full set.

Babies may begin:

  • Reaching more accurately
  • Grasping and shaking the ball
  • Bringing safe toys toward the mouth
  • Touching ribbons and textures
  • Holding and looking at the cloth book
  • Kicking more strongly

Around 6–9 months

The set can support:

  • Sitting play
  • Passing the ball between hands
  • Rolling and retrieving the ball
  • Turning soft book pages
  • Exploring textures and fabric pieces
  • Simple back-and-forth play with a parent

Some babies may begin to outgrow the wrist and foot pieces during this stage, depending on their size.

Around 9–12 months and older

The ball and cloth book can still be used for quiet play, rolling, holding and shared story time.

The wrist rattles and socks may no longer fit comfortably or may be less interesting as your baby moves on to more active play.

Important safety information

  • Adult supervision is required during every use
  • Use only during awake play
  • Never use the toys for sleep or leave them loose in a cot, bassinet or sleep space
  • Check every item before use
  • Do not use an item if it is torn, damaged or has loose threads or parts
  • Make sure wrist straps are secure but not tight
  • Remove the wrist rattles if they leave marks or affect circulation
  • Make sure the socks fit comfortably and cannot easily come loose
  • Keep straps, loops and attachments away from the neck
  • Do not allow the attachment ring to be used as a teether unless the manufacturer specifically confirms that use
  • Keep the cloth book and mirrors, when included in the chosen style, away from direct sunlight
  • Remove all packaging before giving the toys to a baby
  • Keep these instructions for future reference

The age ranges above describe when the toys are likely to be most useful. They are not a guarantee of developmental progress, and every baby develops at a different pace.
