Soft Plush Rattle Ball

When your baby is still learning to aim their hands, most toys are frustrating. They are too big, too slippery or only easy to hold one way. This soft plush ball has no wrong way up, so every grab is a win. A gentle rattle inside sounds as it is shaken or rolled, and colourful ribbon tabs around the ball give little fingers different textures to find and tug.

It is light and soft, so it is lovely for new babies without being a sensory overload, and it keeps up as they grow. First it is something to hold and shake. Then it becomes something to pass from hand to hand. Once your baby is on the move, roll it across the floor and watch them crawl after it.

It is finished with an embroidered fox and car design in bright, contrasting colours and is made mainly from polyester fibre.

Place the ball within your baby's reach during supervised floor play or tummy time. Shake it gently to introduce the rattle sound, then let your baby reach for it, feel the plush surface and explore the ribbon tabs.

During tummy time, set it just beyond easy reach to encourage your baby to stretch towards it. As they become more mobile, roll it slowly across the floor for them to follow and chase.

Birth to 3 months: Watch and listen

Hold the ball yourself and shake it gently within your baby's view so they can follow the sound and the bright embroidery.

3 to 6 months: Reach and hold

Place the ball in your baby's hands or just within reach during supervised floor play. Around four months, many babies can hold a toy placed in their hand and swing an arm towards toys.

6 to 9 months: Shake, roll and explore

Your baby can hold the ball with both hands, shake it deliberately, tug the ribbon tabs and pass it between their hands.

9 to 12 months: Chase and fetch

As your baby begins to move, roll the ball a short distance and let them crawl after it. Its light weight makes it easy to push and pick up again.

Adult supervision is required throughout play, and the toy is for awake play only.

Before every use, check that the seams, stitching, ribbon tabs and fabric are intact and securely connected. Stop using the toy immediately if any part becomes loose, damaged or worn, and only return it to your child once it has been safely repaired or replaced.

Use the toy only for its intended handheld and floor play purpose and within the age range shown on the manufacturer's packaging. Remove it from a cot, bassinet or other sleep space before every sleep, and keep the instruction manual for future reference.
